Six Wesleyans are finalists in the Fulbright U.S. Student Program this year. The Fulbright Student Program is the flagship international educational exchange program sponsored by the U.S. government and is designed to increase mutual understanding between the people of the United States and the people of other countries. The program operates in 160 countries worldwide.

Lasell College has released the Dean's List for outstanding academic achievement during the Spring 2017 semester. A student must earn a semester GPA of 3.5 or higher to receive Dean's List recognition.

The following local residents were among the 606 students who received degrees during the Commencement exercises at Grove City College on May 20, 2017. Delivering this year's Commencement address was Vice President of the United States, Mike Pence. The Class of 2017 was the largest class in Grove City College 140 year history. In recent years, the Grove City College's four-year graduation rate has climbed to 78 percent, while its six-year graduation rate has reached 83 percent. The average graduation rate in the U.S. is 59 percent.

Nearly 200 of the college's top students were honored with a variety of academic achievement awards at the close of the 2016-2017 academic year. The awards celebrate the depth of student excellence across the college's more than 85 academic programs.

Approximately 1,920 students have made the Spring Semester 2017 Dean's List for academic achievement at Coastal Carolina University.

Clarkson University awarded more than 700 bachelor's, master's and doctoral degrees to students from 34 states, 26 countries and 60 New York state counties at its 124th commencement on May 13, 2017. (An additional 262 students received degrees this past winter and summer.)

At the 185th Commencement Ceremony on May 28, Wesleyan awarded 763 BA degrees.

Every spring, Siena scholars from all academic areas gather together at the annual Academic Celebration. The day of celebration begins with a presentation session in the Sarazen Student Union where all students are invited to showcase their research and final projects.

Springfield College Recognizes Dean's List Students for the 2017 Spring Semester.

A total of 1,409 SUNY Oneonta students earned Dean's List honors for the spring 2017 semester. To qualify for the Dean's List, a student must earn a grade-point average of 3.5 or higher while carrying a course load of 12 hours or more.

Local athletes competed on the 2017 SUNY Oneonta men's lacrosse team.

More than 1,200 students were named to the Spring 2017 Dean's List at Hudson Valley Community College.

Fifty-two members of the Class of 2017 received Senior Service Awards in recognition of their outstanding commitment to volunteerism while at SUNY Oneonta. Students who completed at least 350 hours of service through the college's Center for Social Responsibility and Community (CSRC) were recognized during a reception on May 12.

Upsilon Pi Epsilon is the international honor society for the Computing and Information Disciplines.

The State University of New York at Potsdam will recognize more than 1,000 candidates for graduation during the College's 2017 Commencement Ceremony on Saturday, May 20. The SUNY Potsdam Class of 2017 will be awarded baccalaureate and master's degrees at the ceremony.

Dozens of Wesleyan students who received academic prizes, fellowships and scholarships were honored at a reception May 10.

Now in its 27th year, the symposium has grown from its debut in April 1991, when 130 students presented, to one that now features nearly 500 students.

The Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) 2016-17 senior student-athletes were recognized at the annual banquet in a first-class event held at the Hilton Garden Inn with nearly all the senior student-athletes, coaches, staff members and numerous members of the Cabinet in attendance. Each student-athlete was presented a senior gift by President Dr. Shirley Ann Jackson and Dr. Lee McElroy, the Director of Athletics.

Delta Epsilon Sigma is the national scholastic honor society for students in Catholic colleges and universities.

The Wheaton College women's track and field team won the 2017 College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) Outdoor Track and Field Championship.

Five Wesleyan seniors were inducted into the American Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology honor society at the ASBMB annual meeting in Chicago, April 22-26. They are: Jennifer Cascino '17, Kaileen Fei '17, Julianne Riggs '17, Rachel Savage '17 and Stacy Uchendu '17.

The College's chapter of Phi Beta Kappa recently announced the new inductees to the honor society.
