The College of Saint Rose in Albany, NY, announced that 127 students were honored for outstanding academic achievement at the Honors Convocation held on the Saint Rose campus.

Over 50 Ithaca College Roy H. Park School of Communications students were inducted into Lambda Pi Eta, the National Association of Communication's honor society, on April 18.

Artwork by 73 students is featured in SUNY Oneonta's 2017 Annual Juried Student Art Exhibition. On display through May 13 at the Martin-Mullen Art Gallery in the college's Fine Arts Center, the exhibition features more than 100 works by student artists. Featured artworks were chosen from an open jury process and works entered by the art faculty. Painting, drawing, sculpture, digital print, digital video and an assortment of mixed media make up this year's offerings.

A total of 192 students received the SUNY Oneonta 2016-2017 Susan Sutton Smith Award for academic excellence. To be eligible for the award, a student must be a freshman, sophomore or junior with a grade-point average of 3.9 or higher. Student award winners receive a certificate, a gift card to the campus bookstore, and an invitation to attend the annual Susan Sutton Smith Lecture and reception. Dr. Florian Reyda, professor of biology, will deliver this year's Susan Smith Lecture titled, "Parasites, Evolution and Us," at 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 11, in the Otsego Grille of the Morris Conference Center on campus.

SUNY New Paltz recognizes students who participated in the Saturdays of Service program for their spring 2017 semester.

Liberty League commissioner Tracy King has announced that 222 winter sport student-athletes have qualified for the league's 2016-17 All-Academic Teams in their respective sports. A total of 32 RIT student-athletes earned All-Academic honors for the winter season.

The Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) women's lacrosse roster has been finalized and the Engineers have three seniors, three juniors, ten sophomores and eight freshmen. RPI opened the season on Thursday with a 9-5 win over SUNY Oneonta.

Three student-athletes have been chosen to captain the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) women's lacrosse team, it has been announced by head coach Leslie DeLano. Junior Morgan Doyle joins seniors Carly Kirchner and Sophie Hager as captains for the 2017 season. It is Kirchner's second season leading the Engineers.

Degree-seeking undergraduate students are eligible for Dean's List if their term GPA is greater than or equal to 3.400; they do not have any grades of "Incomplete", "D" or "F"; and they have registered for, and completed, at least 12 credit hours.

More than 300 students met requirements for graduation from SUNY Oneonta following the Fall 2016 semester. Graduates were honored at a December recognition ceremony hosted by College President Nancy Kleniewski and held in the Dewar Arena of the Alumni Field House. They also are eligible to participate in the college's commencement on May 13.
